How I got into Design + Code

The first time I coded was in 6th grade, making games in Scratch. I specifically remember making a RPG based off the book series Warrior Cats where I hand drew the sprites, wrote a story line, and dragged and dropped blocks of while-loops.

Since then, everything I do touches art, building, and stories.

I’m a Chinese American electro+indie-listener, parrot-owner, digital artist, product designer engineer, and lover of silly things. Play is the opposite of survival, and essential to learning!

I want to design emerging tech that replace stale, limiting systems. Especially when defining the foundations of new design patterns for AI, XR, robotics, IoT, etc., it’s an important responsibility to handle data and create with care, autonomy, and integrity.

Pomegranates are my favorite fruit -- the juice is always worth the effort. Design is as satisfying as messy the process gets.
